Japan Football Association General Secretary Kozo Tashima announced on the 31st that North Korea will allow some Japanese fans and media to enter the country to attend a game between the two countries on November 15, Asia Group C’s 3rd round qualifier for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The North Korean Football Association’s statement was directed at Japan Football Association staff, which raised the issue last week, but the latter says the scale of the entry permission is still unacceptably small, and it is continuing negotiations to increase the number of visas.

The destination of these spectators, Kim Il Sung Stadium, has artificial turf “that was created in 2006 and isn’t that bad.” It can hold 50,000 fans, and the lighting quality meets international standards.
