台南 Tainan

Tainan (and a little Kaohsiung)
Anping Fort
Temple Detail

When I spent a week in Taiwan last August, I spent my first day touring Tainan. It was fiercely hot but very colorful! After Chinese nationalists led by Koxinga expelled the Dutch from Taiwan, Tainan became the first capital of the province, so many of its temples date to the 1600s. It’s a traditional and natural city. There are a couple pictures from Kaohsiung City at the end of the album, including a Hello Kitty Ferris Wheel and the stunning Formosa Boulevard metro station.
