我搭飛機到臺灣來的經驗 ~ My Flight to Taipei

On September 3rd, I took part in my best friend’s wedding. Two days later, I left America. My preparation time was very short; fortunately, I remembered to pack all the important things.
My father drove me to the Indianapolis airport. The flight from there to Chicago took one hour. Two hours later, I changed planes. The flight from Chicago took twelve hours. Three hours later, I changed planes. The flight from Tokyo to Taipei took three hours.
I can’t sleep inside planes, so I read books or chat. On my plane from Tokyo, I sat next to a Japanese person. She is a flight attendant who married an American, and they live in New York. Because the flight took twelve hours, we talked for a long time, and I got to practice Japanese a lot. On my flight to Taipei, I sat next to a Taiwanese woman who lives in Hong Kong. She was very nice, and she also spoke English well.
I passed through security and customs, then got my luggage. My luggage was the last to arrive, which was a hassle. After that, I took a bus to Zhongxiao Fuxing Station. On that bus, I made a new young friend. He was returning from an international Falun Gong Conference in New York. He was a great guy who spoke and acted prudently. He told me that in college he drank too much, ate bad food, and didn’t sleep well, so he was very unhappy. After he started studying Falun Gong, his life completely changed. It was very interesting to talk to him.
I left home on the morning of September 5th and arrived at my dorm at midnight on September 6th. The dormitory staff person I met then is my good friends now. Taiwan is 12 hours ahead of Indiana, so I was in motion for over 24 hours. I was really tired. Crossing the Pacific Ocean takes a lot of time, but it can be really interesting.
